Seva (selfless service) and Karma Yoga (the yoga of action) are among the most important concepts in Hindu dharma. The Bhagavad Gita teaches that performing one's duty without attachment to results is the path to spiritual liberation. This guide explains how seva and karma work together for spiritual growth.
📖 What is Seva?
Seva (सेवा) literally means "service." In Hinduism, it refers to selfless service performed as worship — without expectation of reward. Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita (3.19): "Therefore, without attachment, perform your prescribed duty, for by working without attachment, one attains the Supreme."
